A Rainy Sunday

We had showers on and off today. We only get one visit on Sunday from 10-12. Of course it was a fun one. Nate and Alayna played on the see-saw in the big play room for a while. It was their first expirence. Alayna, our "no fear girl," had a blast. Nate was unsure at first, then he was all smiles. During our last 30 minutes the skys cleared up and we went outside for family walk around the orphanage. We then attempted another family photo. I think if we keep trying we will end up smiling at some point. For the rest of our long Sunday we spent with the other two American families in our hotel. First we walked outside for a good hour before the down pour came. Then we all sat around a table and played 4 hours of Disney UNO. It is amazing how competetive people can get with the game. Chandler and I then joined Garrett and Dee Dee for dinner in the Apollo restaurant for Madrid chicken and fries. We know you guys are probably lying on the couch taking a nap on a lazy Sunday, and look all you missed out on, four hours of UNO. Besides from visiting Nate and Alayna I did get to hear from home today, which helps the day start off great. Thanks for all the posts. Nate and Alyana will love to see them all as part of their journey to the great USA.

Dear Chandler and Alyson, it is so wonderful to look at these pictures. I don’t know who are happier kids or you. I think everybody. I know so many things around you seem so strange. But it is our reality and we have to adapt, accept and be happy. You will remember all the best from this journey because thanks to that you become mommy and daddy. You look totally different, because now you have more responsibilities and… reason to live. Every single child has to have parents, and when you are closed to orphans you feel it. And I feel sorry that I couldn’t meet you in Kazakhstan. I wish you all the best, you are so brave… I am proud knowing you. Faithfully yours, Oxana

Hey!! I really love all the pictures. You all just look so right together. Can't wait for you to get home. They will be amazed at the difference between Kaz and home. I was going through Dec's clothes yesterday. He wanted to know what I was doing with them. I asked him who we should give them to and he smiled and said, Nate. Any time I bring you guys up, he always asks about Alayna and Nate. He knows they belong to you. Love you guys. Be safe and have fun.

It is great to see the progress you are making with the kids!

Thanks for the outside pictures as it looks like a totally different country without the snow that we experienced every single day we were there.

You are in our prayers!

Love the smiles, especially the one of them playing in the colored balls. My son Jackson has just turned 15 months and when your kids get home we would love to schedule a playdate with Nate and Alayna. Take Care and God Bless.

Alyson & Chandler,

Again, let me begin by saying I am so happy for you both. You went from a couple to a four member family. The Lord's blessings are definitely on all of you. Take care and give the little ones a hug for me.

Dear alyson and chandler,
I hope you have been getting my emails but when I talked to your mon she said she didn't see then. I have been following your journey everyday and I just can't tell what an experience this has been. Your children are so beautiful and I can't wait to see them. I can't believe what you have done. I hope all is going well, sounds like it is. I just can't believe how beautiful they are and seem like they have been with you and in our family forever. Things here are good, so glad school is over next week and am just looking forward to the shower and seeing you. Happy Birthday to you. I will make you a chocolate cakae when you get home. I am just so proud of what you have done and it is such a blessing for those 2 children to have you for parents. The pictures are so cute. I just hope the times goes quickly for you. I have never know such feelings that this has brought out in knowing what you are doing. God has blessed all of you. So don't think I could survive eating in Russia. I know that the shopping won't work for me either. But sounds like your doing great. I think I lost the rest of my email but I love you and can't wait to see you. I really hope that you have been getting these. Tell the kids how much Aunt donna, uncle joe and rocky love them. see you on the 24th.
