We all need a Sunny Day

We had our usual day today, two visits to the orphanage. Our morning visit went well. Nate and Alayna played in the balls and on the swing. Everyone in her group had at least 3 or more pigtails in today. They all just crack me up. Our afternoon visit wasn't a time to remember. When we arrived we went to get the kids as usual and Alayna was sleeping in Nate's room in the bed next to him. The care givers were so funny. They brought us in the room where they were sleeping and of course we had to take a picture. Once they woke, our day went down hill. Alayna wanted nothing to do with anyone, as with all the kids. It rained here all day so they were stuck inside. Trust us, there is not much to do inside. Creativity is key at that point. I think all of the parents were going stir crazy inside. Nate was the only one in the bunch who kept on laughing and running around. There are two families leaving tomorrow to go to Almaty for the last few papers to be signed. They have been here since the end of April. Congrats to them. One husband said that when his plane lands in Washington he is going to kiss the ground. He is so ready to go home. Our kids will officially be home on July 7th if all goes as planned.

Chandler & Alyson,
I've finally gotten to your website, and I can't tell you how touched I am by your entire experience. Last week I was watching A Baby Story on TV and it was about a couple adopting 2 children from Kazakhstan! Since I didn't have your website address yet I was very interested to see the country and how the adoptions work.
Alayna and Nate are beautiful - congratulations!!! I haven't had a chance yet to read through the whole site, but I'm looking forward to it. You must be very much looking forward to bringing your children home, and having them meet the rest of the family! I am so happy for all four of you, and look forward to reading all about your amazing journey. Take care, and give the kids a kiss from me!
Love, Melissa & Patrick

Oh, those rainy days and how quickly Moms and Dads have to turn in to magicians! Despite the rain, Alayna and Nate's smiles seem to get bigger and bigger! "My plan for your future has always been filled with hope." Jeremiah 29:11

How do you pass the time away on a rainy day? Sing happy songs, hide and seek, duck duck goose and the list goes on. Don't worry those "rainy days" will be over soon and your family will be HOME where it will always be sunny!
